To sit for the exam, you must meet the following CDM requirements :

Have a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, GED (general educational development), or global equivalent.
18 hours of data mining education/training
Have basic knowledge of Text Retrieval and Search Engines, pattern discovery, and cluster analysis.
To be eligible to earn this certification, you must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, statistics, or data visualization.
You must also have at least two years of experience using data mining tools and techniques.
